INSTRUCTIONS

  • Select the volume from the five available choices. Note that the factory setting is Loud.

  • Set the volume on your phone, tablet, or PC to a normal listening level. If your device has more than one speaker, place the KeyRinger to be programmed closer to one of the speakers than the other(s). The tones that will come from the speaker are instructions to the KeyRinger.

  • Press (do not double-click) the Double-Click button on the KeyRinger and release the button immediately when  the light comes on (approximately three seconds). You should then hear a long-short-long beep indicating that the KeyRinger is in Programming Mode.

  • Click on Set Call Volume to set the volume of the tones used by the KeyRinger to call the other KeyRinger(s). Increasing the call volume will increase the distance over which the other KeyRinger(s) will respond, and increase the chances that a KeyRinger buried under cushions or in a drawer or closet will respond.

  • Click on Set Response Volume to set the volume of the sound made by the KeyRinger when it responds after being called. Increasing the response volume will increase the distance over which you will be able to hear the KeyRinger.

  • Note that you do not have to click on both Set Volume buttons, and different volume levels can be selected for each.

  • When you click on either Set Volume button, you should hear a five-second programming tone followed by a long-short-long beep from the KeyRinger indicating that it was successfully programmed. If the KeyRinger does not respond or responds with three triple-beep bursts, the programming was not successful and the selected Set Volume button must be clicked again.

  • Click the Double-Click button on the KeyRinger to exit Programming Mode. If the button is not clicked, the KeyRinger will automatically exit Programming Mode after four minutes.

WARNING: When the KeyRinger is set to higher volume levels, precautions must be taken to prevent discomfort or hearing damage.

DO NOT USE THE KEYRINGER OR ALLOW IT TO BE ACTIVATED NEAR ANYONE'S EARS. IF CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS TO THE KEYRINGER OR MAY BE NEAR IT WHEN IT IS ACTIVATED, DO NOT SET IT TO A LOUD VOLUME LEVEL.

If the selected volume is determined to be too loud, reset it to a softer volume.
